
Collier County dispatchers travel to Louisana to assist after Hurricane Ida
COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.– Collier County Sheriff’s Office dispatchers have traveled to Lafourche Parish, Louisana to assist with communication after Hurricane Ida.
The dispatchers spent Saturday morning training with Communications staff at the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office to learn their phone and radio system, according to their Facebook page.

According to officials in the area, there is widespread damage from the storm as well as gasoline shortages and poor cell phone coverage.
Dispatchers from other areas have also come to assist Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office as they respond to residents.
