Deputies investigating suspicious death of three young kids

LOS ANGELES / NBC News — Three kids were found dead at a home in Los Angeles Monday, officials are investigating the deaths as suspicious.

The children, who were all under 3 years old, were found when Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of two kids that weren’t breathing, Lt. Charles Calderaro told NBC Los Angeles.

Rescue crews arrived and found found one girl and two boys. They were pronounced dead at the scene, Calderaro said.

He told the Los Angeles Times that there were no obvious signs of trauma. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said there were no prior reports of abuse or neglect at the home.

The children’s 28-year-old mother was taken in for questioning, Calderaro said. So far, no arrests have been made.
