Forecast: Get ready for a stormy Monday afternoon
It’s rinse and repeat today with numerous showers and storms in store for the second half of our Monday.
Our morning will be dry, though, with sunshine along with plenty of heat and humidity. Daytime highs will reach the low 90s in most neighborhoods across Southwest Florida before the showers and storms build in.
The time frame for showers and storms today will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., and the stormiest locations will be near the coast of Collier, Lee, and Charlotte County.
Like most summer afternoons, today’s storms will be capable of producing frequent lightning, gusty winds and blinding rain.
We’ll continue with a fairly stormy and cloudy pattern from Tuesday through Thursday with lots of rain and thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening, but our mornings will be dry and a little sunshine in the mix.
Temperatures will stay seasonable for late June with highs in the lower 90s and lows in the mid 70s.
