Forecast: Very humid with afternoon storms

A Severe Weather First Alert remains in effect for the potential of localized flooding

The heat and humidity won’t hold back once again with feels like temperatures reaching the triple digits. Afternoon highs will reach the seasonal low 90s with scattered showers and storms expected this afternoon. With high pressure still in control, winds will remain out of the east-southeast allowing the seabreeze to work toward the coast into the afternoon.

Overnight conditions will remain mostly calm and dry with temperatures falling down into the seasonal mid 70s. Expect a sunny start heading into the work week with the best chance for rain into the afternoon.

As for the tropics, there is a small area of low pressure near Newfoundland though development is not expected as the area moves toward cooler waters.
