Gov. DeSantis declares State of Emergency for TD Fred, SWFL counties not included

FORT MYERS, Fla.– Governor DeSantis issued an Executive Order declaring a State of Emergency in response to Tropical Depression Fred.

The State of Emergency was issued to Bay, Calhoun, Citrus, Dixie, Escambia, Franklin, Gadsden, Gilchrist, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Jefferson, Lafayette, Leon, Levy, Liberty, Manatee, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Taylor, Wakulla, Walton, and Washington counties. Southwest Florida was not included in the order.

Rain from Fred can be expected in the Southwest Florida area starting on Saturday.
