More than 3,000 without power on Sanibel due to damaged power lines
SANIBEL ISLAND, Fla. — More than 3,000 properties on Sanibel Island are out of power, officials said.
A spokesperson for the City of Sanibel said that the Lee County Electric Cooperative is aware of the outage. The cause of the outage is due to downed power lines on Sanibel Captiva Road.
The power outage is impacting 36.53 percent of the island.
One LCEC crew is on scene working on restoring power. It’s not known when the repairs will be completed.
