FORT MYERS, Fla. – A Fort Myers man was found guilty of battery on a law enforcement officer Wednesday after he punched a deputy in the neck and tried to kick him nearly two years ago.
Carl Telusma, 30, was incarcerated at the Lee County Jail in 2019 for driving on a suspended license, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
Telusma was accused of attacking a correctional officer saying the officer “looked like someone who beats women,” according to court records.
He was also found guilty of resisting arrest.
