Skateboarder causes $3,500 in damages at Charlotte County Catholic school

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. – A skateboarder caused over $3,500 in damages at a Charlotte County Catholic school. Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office deputies are trying to identify the skateboarder. Man arrested after offering young girls money for ‘lewd act’

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. – A man was arrested for offering two young girls money for a “lewd act” in Port Charlotte. The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office said its Major Crimes Unit arrested Christopher J. Horvath, 53, on two counts of lewd and lascivious conduct on a minor under 16 years of age. CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. – A man is in custody after a shooting at a Charlotte County RV park early Saturday morning. The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office said James W. Grisham was placed in cuffs after they responded to the shooting at Harbor Lakes RV Resort, 3737 El Jobean Road. The gunshot call came in at 12:06 a.m. Two citizens in the RV park who saw Grisham with a gun held him down until Charlotte County deputies arrived on scene. Man arrested for beating woman with wooden pole

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. – Charlotte County deputies arrested Jan Eric Knelson after a woman said he beat her with a wooden pole. The woman told investigators she met Knelson when she moved into her new neighborhood in Punta Gorda. She agreed to go out on his boat on Sunday. Deputies said he hit the woman 20 times all over her body. The victim said Knelson was drinking a lot and she thought he was going to kill her. CHARLOTTE COUNTY. Fla.– Two men were arrested in Charlotte County early on Tuesday morning when drugs were found in their car. PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. – A Port Charlotte man was arrested after two women said he pointed a gun at them outside of the Paddy Wagon Bar in Port Charlotte just after midnight Monday. CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — One person was injured in a shooting at 2045 N. Beach Road on Saturday night, officials said. Deputies with the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a shooting near the Lock ‘N Key Restaurant in Englewood. Investigators respond to deadly crash in Charlotte County
