COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.– Collier County Sheriff’s Office dispatchers have traveled to Lafourche Parish, Louisana to assist with communication after Hurricane Ida. NAPLES, Fla. — The driver of a black Toyota sedan hit the gas on Golden Gate Parkway instead of pulling over when Collier County deputies tried to pull him over. NAPLES, Fla. – A man was shot and killed during an attempted home invasion in a Naples gated community early Saturday morning. Detectives said the shooting happened in Raffia Preserve around 4:30 a.m. and that the suspect shot through the front door of a home with people inside. NAPLES, Fla. – A Naples man was arrested for crashing a car into a concrete pole during a high-speed chase in Collier County. Collier County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Joshua Whipple, 40, after the chase. A deputy saw a car driving without working tag lights that appeared to be avoiding the deputy’s patrol car. CCSO said the deputy tried conducting a traffic stop, but the car sped up and ran a red light on Airport-Pulling Road South.
