COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.– Collier County Sheriff’s Office dispatchers have traveled to Lafourche Parish, Louisana to assist with communication after Hurricane Ida. The dispatchers spent Saturday morning training with Communications staff at the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office to learn their phone and radio system, according to their Facebook page. COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.– Bystanders watched as a woman in a red car careened off the road into a pond Tuesday forcing first responders to jump in and save her. This is one of at least three cars submerged in the water this week around Collier County. Meghan Cooper and her family are staying at a vacation home on St. Andrews Blvd in Naples. Collier County mosquito crews working to get rid of the pesky pests

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — Mosquitoes are swarming Southwest Florida and because of prime breeding conditions brought on by standing water left behind by Tropical Storm Elsa. Collier Mosquito Control crews are trying to get rid of the pesky pests today, July 12. Their helicopters will be applying granules of Natular G30 that will control the numbers of mosquito larvae. Collier County residents without water for hours after pipe bursts

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.– A burst water pipe created a large hole in the road in Golden Gate Estates on Friday afternoon. County officials said 12 homes off of 33rd Ave Northeast were without water for hours. Crews plan to continue working on the road on Saturday morning. One neighbor said he has reported leaks and issues happening on this area of the road several times. The first time they noticed a problem was over a year ago. FPL to build first solar energy center in Collier County

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.– Your FPL bill may go up after Collier County Commissioners approved a new solar plant in Immokalee, east of State Roads 29 and 82.  It’s currently a nearly 600-acre orange grove but by March 2022, it’ll be FPL’s first solar energy center in Collier County. Child seriously injured in Collier ATV crash

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.– Crews are responding to an ATV crash that left a child seriously injured in Golden Gate Estates. The child was airlifted to Lee Memorial to be treated for serious injuries. Three people arrested during Golden Gate drug bust

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.– Collier County deputies arrested three people on drug charges after a narcotics bust at their Golden Gate home. On Thursday, Collier County deputies and SWAT members executed a search warrant for 4375 22nd Place Southwest. According to a Facebook post, law enforcement found Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Heroin, Crack Cocaine, Fentanyl and Suboxone.
