ESTERO, Fla. – The Village of Estero has passed a pedestrian safety ordinance that would crack down on panhandlers and others from standing in medians. Estero will now join Lee County and Bonita Springs who have already approved and begun enforcing a nearly identical ordinance. Estero man sentenced to seven years for child porn

ESTERO, Fla. – A 28-year-old Estero man was sentenced to seven years in federal prison Tuesday after pleading guilty to child porn charges in 2019. Kyle O’Brien was also sentenced to a lifetime of supervised release after the FBI, joined by other agencies, swarmed a unit at the Coastal Village Apartments in Estero to serve a search warrant in April 2019, according to court documents. Gator spotted outside Estero woman’s home

ESTERO, Fla. – A gator was spotted outside an Estero woman’s home on Monday! The Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to the woman’s home. She told deputies the gator was blocking her front door. While deputies waited for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to arrive, the gator got tired of his recent shenanigans! Estero’s ‘Orchid Lady’ spreads happiness in a beautiful way

ESTERO, Fla. – Neighbors within the Grandezza community of Estero know Sharmin McKenny as the “Orchid Lady.” For 10 years, McKenny has led the “Orphan Orchids Project” and took care of flowers left behind by snowbirds. Estero Village officials searching for cause of river pollutants

ESTERO, Fla.– FGCU officials are calling the waters of the Estero River “impaired”. Bacteria and heavy metals have been detected in the water. Estero hotel guests get early wake-up call from fire alarm

ESTERO, Fla. — An early morning fire alarm had Embassy Suites guests in Estero rising a little earlier than anticipated, officials said. Fire crews with Estero Fire Rescue were dispatched to the hotel off of Corkscrew Road after smoke in the elevator room was reported around 3:45 a.m. Monday morning. The fire alarm in the hotel was going off and guests were told to evacuate the building. Thankfully, firefighters discovered the issue was isolated to the service elevator hydraulic equipment.
