LEE COUNTY, Fla. — A 24-year-old Fort Myers man is in serious condition after slamming into a tree early Monday morning, officials said. Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the single-car crash on Buckingham Road and Alvin Avenue just after midnight on Monday. The man was heading north on Alvin Avenue towards the intersection of Buckingham Road. He drove off the road and hit a tree, troopers said. CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — A 30-year-old Punta Gorda man was seriously injured in a rollover crash on Thursday evening, officials said. Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the crash on US-41 at Madrid Boulevard around 6:17 p.m. They said the 30-year-old man was heading south on 41 when he lost control of the SUV. LEE COUNTY, Fla. — Three adults and three children suffered serious injuries in a crash on Interstate 75 near the Corkscrew Exit, officials said.
