A 37-year-old man told deputies that he was walking up to his friends on the beach when a group of women started fighting. LEE COUNTY, Fla. – A teen was arrested in Alabama after the Fort Myers Beach Memorial Day shooting. Jatavion Kaijal Adams Craig, 18, was arrested Thursday morning in Alabama for aggravated assault with a firearm and discharging a firearm in public. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office made the announcement during a Thursday afternoon press conference. A verbal fight started on the beach which led to the shooting on Memorial Day, deputies said. FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. – An electrical hazard caused a small home fire on Dundee Road in Fort Myers Beach on Wednesday, officials said. Crews responded to the home at 10:30 a.m. to respond to the hazard, which ended up being a fire, according to the Fort Myers Beach Fire Department. Driver slams into fire hydrant, causing flooding & delays on Fort Myers Beach

FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. — A car that slammed into a fire hydrant caused a major water leak on Fort Myers Beach on Memorial Day, officials said. The flooding stopped both directions of traffic near the Big Carlos Pass on Estero Boulevard for over half an hour. Some people were seen getting out of their cars while waiting on the bridge. FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. — It’s been 10 months since a 22-year-old man was gunned down on Fort Myers Beach, officials said. Investigators need the public’s help with tracking down Johnny Jackson’s murderer.
