Investigators search for Fort Myers wallet thief

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Investigators are searching for a man that stole a woman’s Louis Vuitton wallet at a Fort Myers gas station. The man pictured is suspected of snatching the wallet after a woman placed it on top of the gas station ice machine, according to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers. The theft happened at the Marathon gas station at 15260 McGregor Boulevard. Investigators said the man was spotted on surveillance video taking the wallet and leaving in what appears to be a white Hyundai Elantra. Teen arrested for snatching woman’s purse at Fort Myers apartment complex

FORT MYERS, Fla. – A teen was arrested for snatching a woman’s purse at a Fort Myers apartment complex. Travis Dennis, 17, was arrested for robbery by sudden snatching after the incident at the Lago Del Sol Apartment Complex on June 11. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office confirmed 13-year-old Rajae Anderson was also arrested in connection to the robbery. Deputies said he is accused of serving as the lookout while Dennis snatched the woman’s purse. FORT MYERS, Fla.– Although restaurants are seeing a lot of customers again now that things have opened back up, some owners are having a hard time hiring people. Some restaurants have altered their closing hours due to the lack of staff. Other spots that are normally open all week long are now open only six days a week. FORT MYERS, Fla. – Police are searching for a missing and endangered Fort Myers 16-year-old. Alexander Connolley was last seen around 8 a.m. Sunday in the area of the 3600 block of Broadway Avenue in Fort Myers, according to the Fort Myers Police Department. He is described as 5 foot 7 inches tall, 130 pounds with blonde hair and hazel eyes. One dead in shooting at Fort Myers apartment complex

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Detectives are investigating after one person was found shot to death at a Fort Myers apartment complex Saturday night. Around 10:22 p.m. deputies responded to the Forestwood Apartments on Brantley Road and found a man who had been shot and killed in the parking lot, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
