FORT MYERS, Fla. – Firefighters battled multiple car fires off of SR 82 in Fort Myers on Saturday. The fires happened at 11990 SR 82, and the Fort Myers Fire Department said crews had to force their way in through a locked gate. Fort Myers teen arrested in connection to violent robbery at apartment complex

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – A Fort Myers teen was arrested in connection to a violent robbery at a local apartment complex. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office said 13-year-old Rajae Anderson was arrested on a robbery charge after an incident at the Lago Del Sol Apartment Complex on June 11. Deputies said he was serving as the lookout while another man robbed the victim. The victim told deputies she was walking to her car when she was attacked from behind by a man wearing a red beanie. Fort Myers murder suspect captured in Gainesville

FORT MYERS, Fla – A 69-year old man was arrested in Gainesville on second degree murder charges. Charles Laster is accused of killing another man during a physical fight on May 31, 2021. According to police, the victim died several days after the altercation. Laster is currently in jail in Alachua County awaiting extradition to Lee County. Thief scoops up tip jar at Fort Myers ice cream shop

FORT MYERS, Fla. – A suspected thief was scheming at a downtown Fort Myers ice cream shop. Cameras caught the thief at Scoops on First scooping up the money inside the tip jar right next to the register. “He went straight for the tip jar, didn’t even look at the ice cream,” manager Tricia Davis said. “And of course I didn’t know that because I came in behind him. FORT MYERS, Lee County – FMPD is looking for a man they say stole a massive amount of lottery tickets from a convenience store. The man broke into the shop at 1802 Victoria Avenue in the early morning hours of June 7th. He walked around to behind the counter and took an entire display of scratch-off tickets. FMPD surrounds home after shooting

FORT MYERS, Lee County – Fort Myers police responded to a shooting near a home on the corner of Fountain and C Streets. FMPD said they’re responding to gunfire in the area. They said no one was injured, and no homes were hit. At least 10 shell casings can be seen on the ground. Several people were in the area at the time, and FMPD is asking anyone with information to come forward. The scene of the investigation has since cleared. The Fort Myers Police Department said an internal investigation has started Wednesday into misconduct allegations committed by Officer Jason Jackson. FORT MYERS, Fla. – A young black bear was found inside a Fort Myers business on Tuesday morning. Fort Myers police said the bear was found inside of Hurricane Safe Shutters off Earl Road.
