Gator bites woman in Florida neighborhood

PALM HARBOR, Fla. – A woman was bitten by an alligator while walking her dog in a Pinellas County neighborhood Tuesday afternoon. According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), a 43-year old woman was walking her dog along a small lake at Exeter Court and S Cardinal Drive in Palm Harbor when the incident happened. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for injuries to her lower right leg, FWC said. A contracted nuisance alligator trapper was sent to the scene. FWC is continuing to investigate. CAPE CORAL, Fla. – Neighbors in North West Cape Coral found a baby gator floating in the canal with its head and tail cut off. The man who found it said it didn’t look like the gator was attacked by another animal. It looked like the gator was cut with a sharp object like a knife. Lehigh Acres gator trapper wrangles gators two days in a row

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.– A gator made itself at home at a Lehigh Acres community on Friday.  The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission got a call after the four-foot gator made its way from under a car to the back porch of a home.  “I was actually just looking out my back porch and I seen him walking across the yard and I was like ‘Oh, that’s a gator,’” said Mackenzie Marinell. Alligator makes surprise visit to Estero home

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – An alligator made a surprise visit to an Estero home on Saturday! Lee County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the home. Deputies called for back-up from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to safely remove to gator. LCSO said the massive reptile took three people to lift into the trapper’s car. Naples woman caught between two gators while biking on trail

NAPLES, Fla.– A woman riding her bike at Bird Rookery Swamp got caught in a gator sandwich, trapped between two gators. Brenda Stelzer captured the moment on camera. COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – An alligator was spotted at a Collier County golf course Friday morning! The gator with only three legs was seen trekking across Marco Golf Course near the Rookery, according to resident Christine O’Donnell. ESTERO, Fla. – A gator was spotted outside an Estero woman’s home on Monday! The Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to the woman’s home. She told deputies the gator was blocking her front door.
