Florida law allowing hazard lights in the rain goes into effect today

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Starting today, July 1, drivers who are on the road during a major downpour can use their hazard lights, in some situations. Using your hazard lights while driving is only permitted during a rain storm and drivers must be on a road with a speed limit of 55 MPH or higher.
