Lightning strike ignites house fire in Fort Myers
FORT MYERS, Fla. — A lightning strike hit a house and caused a fire in Fort Myers early Wednesday morning, fire officials said. Firefighters with the Iona-McGregor Fire Department responded to reports of a house fire on Banyan Bay Boulevard around 2 a.m. A small fire in the home was put out and no injuries were reported. Iona-McGregor fire investigators told NBC2 that the fire was caused by a lightning strike.
