A St. Augustine man plead guilty to trying to provide support and resources to the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS), on Thursday.
ISIS has been considered a foreign terrorist organization since 2014.
Romeo Xavier Langhorne, 31, pledged himself to the group on 2014, according to court documents. Langhorne was aware it was a terrorist group.
He continued to express his support for ISIS on social media and YouTube. Langhorne also chatted with other supporters online. In February of 2019, he began unknowingly speaking with an undercover FBI employee pretending to be a member of ISIS.
