LEE COUNTY, Fla. — A Fort Myers man accused of animal cruelty was arrested after allegedly injuring his family dog, officials said. Jose Hernandez-Rivera, 28, is accused of hitting his family’s dog with a broomstick because he was mad at it for barking, deputies with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said. After getting hit, the dog was unable to put weight on her leg because it was broken, deputies said. LEE COUNTY, Fla. — After tying the knot, a Lehigh Acres groom spent his wedding night in the Lee County Jail after getting aggressive with his guests. Jeffery Johnson, 22, was arrested on Saturday, July 10, after acting belligerent around some of his wedding guests, deputies with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said. Deputies looking for duo involved in deadly Lehigh Acres shooting

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — Detectives are looking for a black four-door car that was involved in a deadly shooting last night in Lehigh Acres, officials said. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the shooting that left one person dead and sent another to Lee Memorial Hospital. Deputies said the shots were fired near Sunrise Boulevard and Genoa Avenue South. When deputies got to the scene, they found two men that had gotten shot.
