Naples soldier pleads guilty to charges in wife’s murder

NAPLES, Fla.– A U.S. Army soldier from Naples pleaded guilty to premeditated murder Monday in connection to the death of his estranged wife as his trial was about to begin, reported local NBC affiliate Hawaii News Now. Raul Hernandez-Perez, 24, is accused of bludgeoning and stabbing his wife to death before dumping her body in a trash can. Cameras capture attempted kidnapping in San Carlos Park, mom says

Father of Layla Aiken pleads guilty to Fort Myers bank robbery

FORT MYERS, Fla. — The father of Layla Aiken pleaded guilty to robbery and possession of a bulletproof vest on Wednesday morning. Glenn Aiken, 36, is accused of robbing a bank located at 8690 Gladiolus Drive on November 27. He got away with $960, according to an arrest report. Collier County dispatchers travel to Louisana to assist after Hurricane Ida

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.– Collier County Sheriff’s Office dispatchers have traveled to Lafourche Parish, Louisana to assist with communication after Hurricane Ida. New councilman appointed for Cape Coral District 6 seat

CAPE CORAL, Fla. – Keith Long will join the Cape Coral City Council, city officials confirmed Wednesday. The current council appointed Long to fulfill the remainder of the vacant District 6 Council seat, which expires in 2022.
