CAPE CORAL, Fla.– A mysterious film or dust is blanketing nearly 100 cars that were parked in Cape Coral last week. It turns out the cars were parked at the Big John Parking Plaza when dozens of vehicles were covered in a silicone residue from roofers spraying over the plaza. “As far as I know the entire parking lot got over sprayed.  It’s like a silicon sealant material,” said Marcie Williamson, who was parked at the plaza. ‘Cops & Kittens’ to help adoptable cats find homes

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – The Lee County Sheriff’s Office will host Cops and Kittens to help you meet your forever friend! The Animal Task Force is working with the Gulf Coast Humane Society to introduce you to dozens of adoptable kittens from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 26. The event will be held at LCSO’s Cape Coral Outreach Center and the Brotherhood of Heroes Resource Center and Museum. Deputy Chance and Sergeant Hope will also be at the event. Thief seen stealing from tip jars, using fake cash at several Fort Myers businesses

FORT MYERS, Fla. – A thief caught on camera stealing from a Fort Myers ice cream shop hit several other businesses with fake cash. The Fort Myers Police Department said detectives are looking for a man and woman seen on security footage stealing from tip jars at the businesses and using fake cash. The incidents happened on Tuesday, June 15. Security footage caught him stealing from Scoops on First and Bahia Bowls. Lehigh Acres man dies in Daniels Parkway motorcycle crash

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — A 23-year-old Lehigh Acres man died after crashing his motorcycle on Daniels Parkway near State Road 82 on Thursday, officials said. Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene around 12:45 p.m. The motorcyclist was speeding eastbound on Daniels Parkway in the inside lane, troopers said. As he approached a turn, the biker continued straight, hit a median, and crashed. COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.– An albino raccoon was spotted in a Collier County backyard. Claire Frances spotted a pink nose and fluffy white fur behind her home but was not sure what kind of animal it was.
