MARCO ISLAND, Fla.– The City of Marco Island is expecting an influx of visitors on Mother’s Day Weekend.
City Manager Mike McNees said traditionally Mother’s Day has been a busy holiday.
“We certainly were overwhelmed last year on Mother’s Day more than we were expecting,” McNees said.
The city is gearing up for the crowds by adding extra patrols on the beach, streets, and on the water. This will make sure beachgoers don’t bring dogs, bikes, or glass to the beach.
Officials also want to remind you to only leave footprints on the beach and take all your trash with you.
