Collier County mosquito crews working to get rid of the pesky pests

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — Mosquitoes are swarming Southwest Florida and because of prime breeding conditions brought on by standing water left behind by Tropical Storm Elsa. Collier Mosquito Control crews are trying to get rid of the pesky pests today, July 12. Their helicopters will be applying granules of Natular G30 that will control the numbers of mosquito larvae. Elsa leaves behind breeding ground for mosquitoes in SWFL

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – Although Elsa may be gone, the storm has left a breeding ground for blood sucking mosquitoes. The potential for the population to dramatically increase has mosquito control preparing for battle, and they’re enlisting the help of Mother Nature to rid Southwest Florida of the pesky insect. Lee County officials battle bugs during peak mosquito season

CAPE CORAL, Fla.- Mosquitos are something Floridians have to deal with, year-round. However, this time of the year when experts say mosquitos are at their worst. In Northwest Cape Coral, the Lee County Mosquito Control district treated the area for mosquitos on Monday. The weather has complicated the process.
