CAPE CORAL, Fla. – Officers are investigating a deadly crash on Nicholas Parkway and SW 11th Street in Cape Coral. The Cape Coral Police Department confirmed a motorcycle was involved in the crash that happened around 12 p.m. Wednesday. Parts of Nicholas Parkway near SW 11th Street are blocked off in both directions. Cape Coral police are asking drivers to seek an alternate route. This is a developing story. Biker in critical condition after crash on Bayshore Road

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — A 23-year-old Fort Myers man was critically injured in a crash on Bayshore Road near Nalle Road Sunday evening, officials said. Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the crash around 6:20 p.m. An investigation found that the motorcyclist collided with an SUV making a turn during a flashing yellow light. The front of the bike slammed into the right side of the SUV, troopers said. The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The driver of the SUV was not injured in the crash.
