NAPLES, Fla.– A U.S. Army soldier from Naples pleaded guilty to premeditated murder Monday in connection to the death of his estranged wife as his trial was about to begin, reported local NBC affiliate Hawaii News Now. Raul Hernandez-Perez, 24, is accused of bludgeoning and stabbing his wife to death before dumping her body in a trash can. Man leads Collier deputies on highspeed chase through Naples

NAPLES, Fla. — The driver of a black Toyota sedan hit the gas on Golden Gate Parkway instead of pulling over when Collier County deputies tried to pull him over. Part of the chase was caught on camera. “It seems like there’s a hot pursuit,” said Alexander Castrillo, a Naples resident, who was watching the video for the first time.  The chase started out in, of all places, morning rush hour traffic in Naples. Man dead after shooting at Naples home

NAPLES, Fla. – A man was shot and killed during an attempted home invasion in a Naples gated community early Saturday morning. Detectives said the shooting happened in Raffia Preserve around 4:30 a.m. and that the suspect shot through the front door of a home with people inside. The Collier County Sheriff’s Office confirmed nobody inside the home was shot. Man caught illegally catching out-of-season fish in Naples

NAPLES, Fla.– Juan Jose Bustos was arrested for illegally catching and harvesting undersized and out-of-season fish on Thursday afternoon.  Florida Wildlife Commission Officers say Bustos was fishing off Naples Cay. They found four Snook in a cooler and an undersized Sheepshead.  It is currently illegal to fish snook across Southwest Florida as far south has Gordon’s Pass until May 31, 2022 due to Red Tide. Naples doctor pleads guilty for illegally prescribing strong opioids to patients

NAPLES, Fla. – A Naples doctor pleaded guilty for illegally prescribing strong opioids and adderall to patients. Gerald Abraham, 76, pleaded guilty to three counts of dispensing controlled substances for no legitimate medical purpose, The Department of Justice confirmed. He faces a maximum of 20 years in federal prison on each count. According to court documents, Abraham was a licensed medical doctor practicing in Naples. NAPLES, Fla. – A Naples woman hit the jackpot winning a $1 million prize from a scratch-off lottery ticket. 69-year-old Michelle De Vincent spent $10 on ‘Cash Club’ scratch off at a Publix located at 2450 Vanderbilt Beach Road in Naples, according to Florida Lottery officials.
