NAPLES, Fla. – Prices of construction material are skyrocketing as manufactures shutdown during the the pandemic.
Gulfstream Homes along with construction companies nationwide are feeling the effects.
“We have seen our lumber costs more than triple in a very short period of time,” Co-Owner of Gulfstream Homes Michael Peel said. “We are also seeing increases across the board in other materials, steel, copper and paint.”
To put it in perspective Peel said last year you could purchase a sheet of plywood for $17, will now cost $50.
