LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. – Investigators are searching for a suspect involved a burglary at a Lehigh Acres Popeyes. Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers said the burglary happened early Monday morning at the Popeyes located at 2710 Lee Boulevard. The suspect used a large pair of channel locks to remove the lock from the front door. Crime Stoppers confirmed the suspect spent time hiding in shrubbery outside the business before going inside. Crime Stoppers looking for thief who took $10K in plywood from Fort Myers neighborhood

FORT MYERS, Fla. — The Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers are looking for whoever is responsible for taking 144 sheets of plywood from a Fort Myers neighborhood. The plywood, estimated to cost upwards of $10,000, was stolen from the Timber Creek Community. A pickup truck towing the stolen construction material was seen heading south on State Road 82 from Daniels Parkway on May 21. Detectives continue search for killer in 2003 Collier County cold case

IMMOKALEE, Fla. – Investigators are asking for information on an unsolved Collier County murder from nearly 18 years ago. According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, the body of Catalina Lechuga was found near Rose Avenue and East Delaware Avenue in Immokalee in 2003. A deputy with the Collier County Sheriff’s Office discovered the 39-year-old’s body in a wooded-area after they were flagged down by someone who found the body, officials said. LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. – A man stole someone’s credit card and spent over $1,400 at a local gas station and Walmart on Wednesday. Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers said they are looking for the man involved in the credit card fraud and grant theft case. The suspect stole the victim’s credit card at an Olive Garden in Cape Coral. Crime Stoppers said fraudulent transactions were made at RaceTrac in North Fort Myers and the Walmart on Lee Boulevard in Lehigh Acres. LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. – The reward for information about the murder of 25-year-old Kyle Byrtus has been increased to nearly $10,000, Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers announced Tuesday. Byrtus’s body was found in Lehigh Acres in 2013 and investigators said they have still not tracked down his murderer after nearly eight years. Authorities continue search for 2013 killer of two Fort Myers men

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Authorities are still searching for who is responsible for killing two Fort Myers men over eight years ago. On April 21, 2013 police responded to reports of gunshots at the Renaissance Preserve Community around 11:30 p.m. according to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers. Paul Baldwin, 20, and Jiatarious “Jojo” Brunson, 17, had been shot and were taken to Lee Memorial Hospital where they later died, police said.
