TALLAHASSEE. FLA. (AP) – A teenager is suing the state of Florida over a new law that bans transgender females from playing on girls’ sports teams in public schools. Supreme Court won’t hear case over transgender bathroom rights

The Supreme Court on Monday left in place a decision that allowed a transgender student in Virginia to use the bathroom that corresponded to his gender identity. The Supreme Court’s action is a victory for the LGBTQ community that has been fearful the high court would take up the case and reverse a lower court opinion, reported CNN.
