Tice man arrested on armed robbery charge
LEE COUNTY, Fla. — A 28-year-old Tice man was arrested in Fort Myers and faces an armed robbery charge on Thursday, officials said.
Officers with the Fort Myers Police Department were dispatched to 4199 Palm Beach Boulevard after reports of a robbery rang in. The person who called 911 said two people on bikes assaulted someone, according to an arrest report.
One witness told police they saw a man wearing a neon orange shirt and another wearing an army green jacket and jeans steal a victim’s cell phone, according to the report. Both of the men were on bikes, the witness told police.
The suspect in orange dropped the stolen phone and allegedly pulled out a pocket knife, officers said.
When police arrived at the scene, they found a man who matched one of the suspect descriptions. He was later identified as Jessie Floris, 28, of Tice.
Floris was arrested and faces an armed robbery charge, police said. He was wearing orange at the time of his arrest.
