Troopers respond to I-75 road rage shooting in North Port
SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. – Florida Highway Patrol troopers responded to a shooting on I-75 near Sumter Boulevard in North Port Friday afternoon.
FHP said the shooting happened during a road rage incident at around 3 p.m.
Troopers confirmed the drivers of a Dodge Ram truck and a Ford F-150 truck were involved in the incident with another car.
The driver of the Dodge truck fired five shots toward the victim’s car, hitting the right side of it all five times, according to FHP.
No one was injured, and the drivers of both trucks drove off after the shooting.
Troopers confirmed an investigation is ongoing and criminal charges are pending.
