Woman walking dog on golf cart partially amputates finger

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — An 81-year-old woman was taken to the hospital after she partially amputated her finger while walking her dog, officials said.

The woman was walking her dog while driving her golf cart on Holly Road just after 8 a.m. on Monday morning, a spokesperson for Charlotte County Fire and EMS said.

During the walk, the dog’s leash got caught on a wheel and partially amputated the woman’s finger.

Rescue crews responded to the scene and brought the woman to Lee Memorial Hospital for treatment.
