Man accused of deadly shooting in Naples arrested again while out on bond

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. – The man accused of shooting a man to death at Rusty’s Bar & Grill in Naples was arrested Monday for a DUI crash while he was out on bond. Jason Ortiz, 30, of North Port, was arrested just after midnight after deputies said he drove through the median of a roundabout at Edgewater Drive and Midway Blvd. causing damage to multiple road signs. Child seriously injured in Collier ATV crash

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.– Crews are responding to an ATV crash that left a child seriously injured in Golden Gate Estates. The child was airlifted to Lee Memorial to be treated for serious injuries. Officials say a side-by-side ATV ended up on its side at 841 4th Street NE on Wednesday afternoon. Greater Naples Fire and Collier County EMS crews are responding. The child is in critical condition. Fort Lauderdale accepts Elon Musk’s Tesla beach tunnel proposal

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (CNN) — Elon Musk’s The Boring Company has started plans to build a tunnel between downtown Fort Lauderdale and the beach. The Boring Company would offer Tesla rides to hundreds of people the price of $5-8 dollars a person. Lee Health president says COVID-19 patients has doubled in recent weeks

LEE COUNTY, Fla.– Lee Health’s President and CEO released a statement on COVID-19 in Southwest Florida on Wednesday. According to Dr. Larry Antonucci, the number of COVID-positive patients in their hospitals has doubled in the past few weeks. Lee Health is currently treating 60 COVID patients.
